Randolph County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana.
Randolph County is the point of origin for the White River and Whitewater River.
In the county the population was spread out with 25.20% under the age of 18, 7.90% from 18 to 24, 27.30% from 25 to 44, 23.80% from 45 to 64, and 15.80% who were 65 years of age or older.

Randolph County begins around 8000 B.C. Native American people used the limestone bluff overhang for shelter as late as 1200 A.D. In 1686 Robert de LaSalle's Lieutenant Henri de Tonti, scouted the Illinois Country for possible French trading post locations.
Randolph County was established October 5, 1795, and took its name from noted Revolutionary War soldier and statesman, Edmund Randolph, of Virginia.
As the citizens of Randolph county boast, Kaskaskia is where Illinois began.

In spite of strong public support for saving the Randolph County Courthouse, two county commissioners remain stubbornly firm in their call to demolish the 1875 landmark.
The threat: The County Commission voted two to one in 2005 to demolish the Randolph County Courthouse, declaring it too deteriorated and outmoded for renovation.
If the Randolph County Courthouse falls, it will be the first courthouse demolition in Indiana in 30 years.
