Bishop Raphael was glorified (numbered among the saints) by the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) in its March 2000 session.
Raphael, an angel of healing as mentioned in the Midrash (expounding upon Judaism's Hebrew Bible.) He is termed a Seraph found in the Book of Tobit, a scripture which is part of the Old Testament in the Roman Catholic biblical canon and part of the Protestant Apocrypha.
Raphael Semmes (September 27, 1809 – August 30, 1877) was an officer in the United States Navy from 1826 to 1860 and the Confederate States Navy from 1860 to 1865.

 Jargon File - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Jargon File (hereafter referred to as 'jargon-1' or 'the File') was begun by Raphael Finkel at Stanford in 1975.
Raphael Finkel dropped out of active participation shortly thereafter and Don Woods became the SAIL contact for the File (which was subsequently kept in duplicate at SAIL and MIT, with periodic resynchronizations).
The other jargon-1 editors (Raphael Finkel, Don Woods, and Mark Crispin) contributed to this revision, as did Richard M. Stallman and Geoff Goodfellow.

Refoyl Finkel's magic device, the yidishe shraybmashinke, was the second indispensable ingredient; it would otherwise have been necessary to key in the Yiddish texts.
But since most Hebrew words get pronounced quite differently once they've become naturalized, the Niborski/Neuberg _verterbuch fun loshn-koydersh-shtamike verter in yidish_ was used often; tattered and reglued it remains a great pleasure to read and use.

I really like this book; it is a bit more theoretical than the dinosaur book, but is well-written and clear.
This one isn't as theoretical as Finkel's book, nor is it as long as the dinosaur book.
I haven't tried to use it in a course yet, but it looks like a fairly well-rounded text.
