		RAPIDS CITY -- Illinois Army National Guard Sgt. Landis W. Garrison died from an accidental gunshot wound, according to the Illinois Army and Air National Guard.
		The 23-year-old from Rapids City was a member of the 333rd Military Police Company, headquartered in Freeport, Ill., and had been stationed in Iraq for nearly a year.
		Garrison was the fifth Illinois National Guardsman to die since the global war on terror began, and the fifth area soldier to die in the fighting.
