According to eyewitnesses in the city's Sangaj district near the refinery, powerful detonations smashed all windows on the local community center, tearing roof tiles on surrounding houses.
Even half an hour after the enemy aircraft had buzzed away, explosions could be heard coming from inside the refinery, probably as a result of the fire that broke out after the bombing.
This morning's strong blasts heavily damaged houses in the districts Bivolje and Dedina, which are on opposite banks of the Rasina.

Calling to attention the fact that three bridges had been reconstructed near Krusevac, the Rasina district, in a very short time, Jovanovic said that this proved that even bigger steps would be taken in the second phase of the country's reconstruction.

Two bridges on the River Rasina were demolished in Krusevac suburb of Bivolje, and one on the Zapadna Morava at the village of Jasika.
Another bridge was destroyed on the River Juzna Morava in the village of Djunis, and yet another on the Zapadna Morava at Trstenik.

NATO aircraft raided Vlaski Dol near Surdulica, in the southeast of Serbia, again at noon on Friday, launching two highly destructive missiles on it althout there are no military facilities in the area, the district civil defence centre in Vranje said.
The NATO attacked, shortly before 19.30, also the wider area of Lipljan district which was targeted with two missiles.
According to preliminary reports, over 50 civilians were killed and about 100 were wounded in Korisa in the NATO attack on a convoy of several hundred refugees, including women, children and old people.
