| | Welcome to FemAid |
 | | For the past three years, we have been working with RAWA (the Revolutionary Association of Women of Afghanistan), an independent group of Afghan refugees in Pakistan who, for the past 25 years fought the Soviets, the Mudjhadin, the Taliban and now the new wave of fundamentalists all basically opposed to equal rights for women. |
 | | In Pakistan, RAWA has established schools, orphanages, dispensaries for desperately poor Afghan refugees otherwise deprived of any real assistance from the Pakistani authorities which in itself has been overwhelmed by the presence of three million refugees. |
