Ray Sullivan was a fictional Republican governor of West Virginia, played by Brett Cullen.
Sullivan was bright and personable, a former United States Attorney noted for his crime-fighting as a prosecutor, specifically targeting white-collar crime.
In the wake of Vinick's narrow defeat in the 2006 election, Governor Sullivan was widely seen as the front-runner for the Republican nomination in 2010.

Raised in Boynton, Arkansas, Ray showed a real interest in the fiddle and by the time he was 5, he was performing on stage as the "Youngest Violin Player in the World." Ray soon took up singing and the guitar and tenor banjo.
Ray's recording career began in 1949 with a one year contract with Paramount (now absorbed by MCA) which produced three singles.
