I could sit here and quote Ray Traylor's accolades from - and contributions to - the professional wrestling industry, but the majority of the fans who will read this already know how great Ray Traylor was.
I remember Ray Traylor took time out of his day to come over to me and introduce himself.
I believe that Ray believed in his character, his ability, and I believe he enjoyed the sport as well as the fans.

Ray Traylor (May 2, 1962 - September 22, 2004) was a professional wrestler best known for playing the character of the Big Boss Man in the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment).
Traylor was originally known as "The Boss," but the WWF legal department determined the character to be too similar to the one that Traylor had portrayed in the WWF and forced WCW to change it.
When Traylor returned from that injury, he was given a role as the bodyguard of Booker T, but the new gimmick was ultimately not successful.

Dusty vs. Traylor was also the main event of the first NWA show that ever came to Boston Garden, which of course I was in attendence to witness.
Ray Traylor was a great wrestler and seemed like he was a nice person as well.
From all the accounts that I heard Ray Traylor was as classy an individual outside the ring as he was in the ring.

Ray Traylor, who was most famous as The Big Boss Man in the WWF / WWE, will be missed personally and professionally.
Recently, Ray had ran for political office as Commision Chairman for Paulding County in July 2004 and had organized/attended a public memorial ceremony on September 11th, 2001 and 2004 for the victims of 9/11.
And it was at that time where Traylor made famous the character The Big Boss Man. He wrestled mostly as a singles wrestler, but was part of the infamous tag team as 1/2 of the Twin Towers with his partner Akeem, and their manager "The Doctor Of Style" Slick.

According to the site, Traylor, 42, had not been complaining of any pain recently other then a bad knee.

The first time I met Ray was at a Dennis Coraluzzo show in NJ at the Dunn Sports Center in Elizabeth, NJ.
I met Ray again a few years ago at a local signing at a church fair and again he remembered me. He loved the signing and doing the right thing by the church and the sponsor.
It amazes me that a bunch of young guys are losing there life at an early age due to different reasons.
