Krach, who has had a varied experience as engineer on the lakes and rivers, nominally retired from the engine room in May, 1891, to take charge of the mechanical department of the Meisenheimer Printing Company, doing business at No. 330 Clinton street, Milwaukee, Wis., in which he is a stockholder.
Joseph J. Krach was born on July 17, 1853, at St. Louis, Mo., and the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Tingey) Krach, the father being a native of Ellingen, Bavaria, and the mother of Barnet, England.

Raymond Harvey Lodge Joseph De Montmorency was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
He was 31 years old, and a Lieutenant in the 21st Lancers (Empress of India's), British Army during the Sudan Campaign when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.
On 2 September 1898 at the Battle of Omdurman, Sudan, after the charge, Lieutenant De Montmorency returned to help a second lieutenant who was lying surrounded by a great many Dervishes.

DE MONTMORENCY, THE HON RAYMOND HANNAY LODGE JOSEPH, Lieutenant, was born on 5 February1867, son of General Viscount Frankfort de Montmorencv.
At the Battle of Khartoum, on the 2nd September 1898, Lieutenant de Montmorency, after the charge of the 21st Lancers, returned to assist Second Lieutenant R G Grenfell, who was lying surrounded by a large body of Dervishes.
Mr de Montmorency also wrote: "One of Raymond de Montmorency's men whom I came across on the Karroo, shortly after his death, told me he was not killed outright by the first Boer volley, but as he lay wounded kept on firing at the enemy for a minute or two till he died".

We know that the Lodge La Parfaite Harmonie, a St. John's Lodge, which Morin was authorized by his patent to organize under the authority of the Grand Lodge of France, was actually organized, for an endorsement of that Lodge is inscribed on the Verriere Patent.
De Lalande was the founder of the celebrated "Nine Sisters" Lodge and head of the Observatory, while Brest de la Chaussee was one of those who signed Morin's Patent in 1761, fifteen years previously.
De Lalande as stated was the founder in 1776, the same year, of the "Nine Sisters" Lodge which became so celebrated, and among whose members were Benjamin Franklin and John Paul Jones, two celebrated Americans like Morin, Vernet and Greuze, celebrated painters, Lacepede, director of the Jardin des Plantes, Helvetius, and later, Voltaire.

On 2 September 1898 at the Battle of Khartoum, Sudan, after the charge, Lieutenant De Montmorency returned to help a second lieutenant who was lying surrounded by a great many Dervishes.
Another lieutenant, P.A. Kenna, and a corporal then came to his assistance and he was able to rejoin the regiment which had begun to open fire on the enemy.
Although he survived this encounter, Raymond was to die far from his home at Dewlish House fighting the Boers at the other end of Africa.

The Lieutenant drove the Dervishes off and, finding that the officer was dead, put the body on his horse which then broke away.
