		Cedega (formerly known as WineX) – TransGaming Technologies' proprietary fork of Wine, which is designed specifically for running games written for Microsoft Windows under GNU/Linux.
		ReactOS – open-source operating system, aimed to be compatible with existing Windows NT applications and drivers.
		Freedows and Alliance OS – a very ambitious project, and a subsequent spinoff, that tried to clone Windows but withered away.

	Notepad - Facts, Information, and Encyclopedia Reference article
		In Windows 2000 the default font was changed to Lucida Console and support for common keyboard shortcuts such as [ctrl-s] (to save a file) was introduced.
		Notepad was, until recently, a Windows-only application, but can now be run natively in the open source ReactOS operating system.
		The program included with ReactOS is derived from WINE and is open source itself under the GNU Lesser General Public License
