The festival then enjoyed a number of years of success, which lasted until the 1980s, when the organisers were perceived to be 'out of touch' with musical trends.
Reading spawned a northern equivalent in Leeds in 1999, which started off at Temple Newsham, but moved to its current location of Bramham Park in 2003, after complaints from residents and large-scale disturbances.

Reading is a Berkshire unitary district within the traditional county of Berkshire on the south bank of the River Thames, halfway between London and Oxford.
During the 19th century Reading grew rapidly as a manufacturing centre - in 1851 the population was 21,500 and by 1900 it was 59,000 - large sections of the housing in Reading are terraced, reflecting its 19th-century growth.

I would have been happy if Travis were the last band on sunday, but instead it was Eminem and his minions who i stayed to watch them for one song and eventually felt so f**king p*ssed off that i left, safe in the knowledge that i had witnessed how poor eminem was.
Overall i think this festival was incredible, i originally didnt think it was possible to beat last years, but we did, and the ewok village has vowed to return as a town next year!
