Reality TV is typically defined as, non-fictional programming in which portrayal is presumed to present current, historical events or circumstances.
Reality TV takes real people and puts them into situations and watches how the people handle their surroundings and different situations brought to them.
Reality TV has allowed for the first time since the 1991-92 season networks to maintain their primetime audience that was normally lost to cable.
