The green grass of the Boston Common, along with the civil liberties of several thousand people were trampled today by squads of police that continually marched, biked and cycled around and through the peaceful displays of the Really, Really Democratic Bazaar.
At one point during the bazaar a Coast Guard helicopter, machine gun sticking out of the open hatch door, buzzed just several feet overhead of the event attempting to drown out music and conversation.
Apparently the Democrats are so desperate for an election victory, they're willing to drop the Constitution along the way.

On Tuesday at a "Really Really Democratic Bazaar," organized in the Boston Commons by a group called the Bl(a)ck Tea Society, participants set up booths to share food, skills, art, and their vision for a better political system, which would not marginalize young voices.
Although Eric's group and nearly all the protesters and bazaar attendees are vehemently anti-Bush, they refuse to believe that simply voting him out of office would effect the change they demand.

The next day (Tuesday) was the Really Really Democratic Bazaar organized by the Bl(A)ck Tea Society, an anti-authoritarian group dedicated to protecting the first amendment during the DNC.
The bazaar featured a bunch of stations selling anti-Bush/government books and t-shirt and distributing zines, various demonstrations by different groups, and two stages with different music throughout the day.
Signs had been put up along the sides of "The Cage." Based on these signs, it seemed that the major protest was not about the Democratic Party and its platform but against gay marriage or against the concept of the Free Speech Zone as a violation of the First Amendment.

Somewhere along the line, parties realized that candidates who are chosen early and supported early are more successful than ones who battle it out till the convention, and then only have from the convention's end till the election-time to win over the public.
I'm not sure how the Really Really Democratic Bazaar turned out, but it looks like it might have been a fun way to spread a little political knowledge, as opposed to your standard dull march/boring speakers/mass arrest thing.
I really hope that this revelation was Duncan "Atrios" Black's choice; that would fucking suck if someone else spilled the beans, exposing him unwillingly to the world.
