  FAQ - RealmForge Wiki
RealmForge is being developed as a product which covers both the requirements of commercial developers and hobbyists in that it is intuitive and easy-enough to use for hobbyists yet productive, powerful, and flexible enough for commercial developers.
RealmForge is not just the work of one individual but is based upon and entire backbone of quality free and open-source software developed and the direct or indirect contributions of many talented and benevolent individuals.
RealmForge was not designed as just another clone of the run-of-the-mill open-source rendering engine that is exclusively for use by experienced programmers, it does not require a huge amount of programming and abstraction before it can be effectively used to develop a game, but instead it is geared towards all disciplines and levels of experience.

 Realmforge GDK? - DevMaster.net Forums
RealmForge was featured on the front page of Software Developer's Journal and served as the namesake of their 3D Games in.NET issue due to its role as the first complete runtime and design solution for developing 3D games with.NET.
RealmForge is the 7th ranking open-source solution out of the 240+ products listed in the DevMaster's Game and Graphics Engine Database and has attained over 40,000 installations.
RealmForge is no longer under development, but because there were those like yourself who were using RealmForge (which is still available, thought at an alpha state as before), we are providing free non-commercial licenses which you will be able to use when Visual3D Architect.NET is publicly released.

RealmForge GDK v0.6.2 has been released and includes many new enhancements especially with regards to physics, importers, and the run-time development tools (the In-Game Editor) as well as the API documentation, media library, and numerous tech demos and tutorials.
With regards to the comparison between RealmForge and the Source engine for instance, was referring to the approach for development tools: that no other game has taken an entirely *run-time* approach to development allowing design and modification to occur during gameplay.
Realmforge was diguarded fairly quickly simply due to how dissapointed we felt, purple# had design and portability problems, OSG was bloated to hell, Torque was too much of an unknown, etc.

Realmforge was adapted from a campaign I'd had in my mind since about 1996.
She was hired - then enslaved - by the others in order to recover the items they needed to get to Realmforge, but she released Legion by infecting him with her resentment at her treatment, which caused him to rebel.
At the end of the campaign, she rescued her daughter, used the Realmforge to move her homeworld in the Gate network to save it from it's neighbour's conflict and - wanting to prevent anything like that happening to anyone else - followed Favoured into Godhood, becoming the Goddess of Hope and Lost Causes.

Ogre Forums :: View topic - An alternative method to use Ogre from managed code
Making a wrapper for each possible method you could call on every Ogre object is tedious and not really worth it IMO (at that point you might as well just port Ogre to c# - where Axiom and RealmForge come in).
That's why I intend to create an application to parse through the ogre source and generate wrapper source.
Axiom and Realmforge have nothing to do against a wrapper that can be automatically updated using SWIG.

Anyways I know somewhat OT as this is a Realmforge thread but it's what the Realmforge people are having to go through with Axiom and may make development of that a bit more hellish and slow as a result.
