Reavers are believed by most of the 'verse to be men that went insane at the edge of space and became savage.
Reaver craft have a savage and funereal air, and are not in particularly good shape - they are almost inevitably running without reactor containment, which means the inhabitants are constantly being bombarded with radiation at suicidal levels.
Reaver ships seem to broadcast a nightmarish chorus of screaming across all channels, although whether this is a recording used to induce fear, the howling of their inhabitants or the sounds of their victims is uncertain.

You avoid the AI moving your reaver into siege tank range by using the loading/unloading methods that are the ones in which you have the shuttle moving towards the reaver and not the other way around.
The 40 dmg attack of dark templars, the fact that dark templars are cloaked, the fact that your reaver is a killing machine already, and the fact that the dark templars not only can rape on their own but can act as decoys to draw tank fire away from your reaver is a winning combination.

As of now, my reaver 1v1 isn't even half as mean at rr6 as he was at rr4 with solo RAs.
but i agree, reavers currently should use a weapon now slower than 3.4 in a switch spot, becuase 3.4 speed with 250 quick and 10 ToA haste and 19 haste buff, lets you swing at 1.53 speed, which is as close to cap as you can get without breaking it and losing DPS.
reavers do not get an anytime but as is without the new defensive introductions a greatr block mythrian coupled with mob and +11 shield would allow you to get off some very very sick reactionary styles.

Reavers might be smaller than Raiders but they’re still larger than Dark Eldar on foot: 8 Reavers would have difficulty using terrain to stay out of sight of heavy weapons.
Similarly, it would be darn near impossible to get 8 Reavers in base-to-base contact with any but the largest of enemy units, and you usually don't want to assault large enemy squads anyway.

In the recent game vs. Goodfriend, he won, though he was not as persistent with reaver (he still built a second reaver even after losing his shuttle), and it is very VERY clear that he won as a result of his decisions with his zealots and carriers, NOT because of his reavers.
IMO the point of a reaver build is to catch the T off guard and net some SCV kills/harass in general, and to put the T on a bit of a defensive...
Granted, once T thinks a reaver threat is over, they may, you know, take their tanks out of their main, but they're still a bit more alert/on edge for it to happen again, and it's just very rare I see reavers doing worthwhile damage after one or two have drops have already been made.

In New Frontiers reavers receive Wild Power and Duel threat, both of these RA's are designed to increase spell crit's (duel threat also increases melee crit's), the recent changes on new frontiers means the only spells that are crit'able are the instant-lifetap, instant-DoT, wrack and our weapon proc's.
Dragonpup (the reaver TL leader) has basically told Mythic that weapon proc's crit'ing is a mistake and should be fixed.
Well, a point here is that Reavers get several decent styles, all of which are positional/reactionary and of which the best rely on a magic componant to do damage.

We were able to complete it in the end, but only by really extreme measures--definitely not something people would ever want to do 8 times in a row for a loot run because it used so many potions and wands.
There are other possibilities I guess, like that someone in the other parties I have been in had/did something different that altered the course of the battle (I have noticed the spell Command works very well), but I have been in a lot of varied groups who all did things differently.
Reavers were changed two patches ago to be slightly more difficult I think.

No, because good players will micro and load and unload the reaver into the shuttle so it is harder to attack it, and use the reavers for annoyance.
Reavers vs Terran is kinda a tough go if they have tanks all over because as soon as you drop you are getting shelled by tanks from different directions, and if they do have goliaths around it would be hard to get those reavers in in the first place.
Since reavers have splash, and lings always attack in groups, and since the scarab is 100+ damage, BOOM.

A fl behemoth of a warrior the Black Reavers are the elite guard of the lords of the City of Mist.
He will double spawn the reaver sometimes but it's an easy to access shot at the reaver that most people can solo if you have a pet or are a wizard.
A jade reaver for both me and the alt druid would jsut be wonderful because the alt druid had all her dropables stolen on her account recently.

I was killing the reavers last night and we had 1 chain that spawned 28 fl reavers so yes they still do.
It helps only having a reaver at a time to kill instead of all the golems, wraiths etc. We always announced to the zone that Reavers were being pulled,and to which area, so that others wouldn't get harmed.
Plus, if farmers come in and kill the reavers, when there is not a guild raiding them for their epic, then what harm is done.
