Topic: Receiver fire arms

  FIRE ARMS!
When fired the weapon leaves no trace like empty cases… The cases are made out of wax which is burned along with the gun-powder in the pipe, when the weapon is fired —in other words; caseless ammo.
How do you think the fire arms looked in the Star Wars universe when the first blasters showed up?… One might at the very least expect them to be a bit more advanced and powerful than our weapons.
When firing a projectile, the weapon places it in the barrel, and injects gas behind it from the 2 tubes (built together to one tube) and then sends an electric charge through it, which ignites the explosive gas-blend and sends away the projectile.

 Chapter 3 - Small Arms
The majority of small arms are procured from the Army and issued by the Navy to its field activities and the fleet.
The firing pin, hammer or, in some cases, the bolt itself is held in a cocked position by a piece called the sear.
This movement trips the sear, releasing the firing mechanism (firingpin, hammer or, in automatic weapons, such parts as the bolt group or slide), causing it to move forward with enough force to discharge the round.

In fairness, since this receiver incorporates the recess cuts for the the tabs of an unmodified stripper-clip cover, There would be no reason to remove the tabs as is often done to use such a dustcover on a standard metric receiver.

 FIRE - by Biltong
The result was similar to a bomb going off in an enclosed space, the resulting fire becoming a living thing, instantly licking the ceiling, glorifying in the still wet paint, joyously rising to the ceiling lapping up the cool oxygen being fed to it by the two air conditioning units.
This too was added to the conflagration allowing the fire to slowly crawl along the oxygenated ducts until it found other empty offices to burn, their personnel having long left for the day due to the paint fumes.
Receiving a blessing from one of the victims brother, a priest who had been notified of the disaster, they carefully made their way into NORAD, past the still stunned relief personnel who had volunteered to keep the place running, and down the stairs into the lower levels.
