Topic: Reciprocal relationship

 Reciprocal
A reciprocal equation is an equation which isn't changed by a substitution of a reciprocal for the unknown.
In the humanities and social sciences, a social interaction between actors is said to be reciprocal when each action or favour given by one party is matched by another in return.
In linguistics: a structure that marks a reciprocal relationship between grammatical agents.

Evolution - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Most scientists interpret this to mean all existing organisms share a common ancestor, which had already developed the most fundamental cellular processes, but there is no scientific consensus on the relationship of the three domains of life (Archaea, Bacteria, Eukaryota) or the origin of life.
A theory is an attempt to identify and describe relationships between phenomena or things, and generates falsifiable predictions which can be tested through controlled experiments, or empirical observation.
So, for scientists "theory" and "fact" do not stand in opposition, but rather exist in a reciprocal relationship; for example, it is a "fact" that an apple will fall to the ground if it becomes dislodged from a branch and the "theory" which explains this is the current theory of gravitation.

Essay on Native American Environmental Issues
Traditionally Native Americans have had an immediate and reciprocal relationship with their natural environments.
Indians were never ecologists—something that refers to a highly abstract and systematic science—but they were careful students of their functional environments, bound by material and cultural needs and constraints, striving for maximum sustained yield, not maximum production.
They possessed an elaborate land ethic based on use, reciprocity, and balance.
