  Recurve Bow
A recurve bow is a form of bow defined by the side-view profile; in contrast to the simple longbow, a recurve bow has tips that curve away from the archer when the bow is unstrung.
By one technical definition, the difference between recurve and other bows is that the string touches sections of the limbs of recurve bows when the bow is strung.
A recurve will permit a shorter bow than the simple bow for a given arrow energy and this form was preferred by archers in environments where long weapons could be cumbersome, such as in brush and forest terrain, or while on-horseback.

Recurve bows range in length from 1220mm (48 inches) to 1780mm (70 inches).
Most basic recurve bows are made from laminated timber usually with a clear finish on the riser and the limbs having a layer of fiberglass applied each side for strength.

Recurve bows also have a number of weird and wonderful extra bits all aimed to make the bow (or archer!) more stable and generally aid in accuracy.
Modern recurve bows are designed so that the bottom limb holds more energy than the top whilst at full draw and so the bow tends to ‘kick up’ on release unless fitted with a longrod.
The bows are designed in such a way that the string is constantly under high tension; when the bowstring is drawn, the bow itself does most of the work.

 Bow Types and Styles
Younger archers were usually more likely to decorate their bows than were the grizzled veterans, and occasionally a wealthier archer would have some extra armor, or maybe even a full set of armor, but his bow was never significantly fancier then the rest.
A recurve will permit a shorter bow than the simple bow for a given arrow energy and this form was preferred by archers who were forced into environments where long weapons could be cumbersome: e.g.
The efficiency (the percentage of energy in a fully drawn bow that is transferred to the arrow at the moment of loose) of the modern bow doubles that of the longbow, the velocity of the arrow with the new bow reaching 212 feet (65 m) per second as opposed to 150 feet per second.

The Recurve bow is as old as the longbow but in many different styles.
When Recurve bows stared being made with laminate materials, the bow became very accurate because of a balanced pull on each half of the bowstring.
Recurve bows are in the slower range of bows so you do not need to shoot expensive carbon arrows for the spline strength.

 The Bow
The Bow is a common two-handed distance weapon, consisting of three parts: an element of wood, bone and/or metal in crescent shape, a string, connecting its ends and the arrows which are shot by drawing the bow and releasing its energy.
The basis of the Bow initially was a strong thin branch bend into a cresent shape and tied at each end with a strong and thin material (from now on called "the string").
The Recurve Bow is carved in from the outside, so the arrow rest is aligned with the center of the Bow so the Bow doesn't have to be canted or tilted when it is shot.
