The Red Buckeye is a large (A low woody perennial plant usually having several major branches) shrub or small (A tall perennial woody plant having a main trunk and branches forming a distinct elevated crown; includes both gymnosperms and angiosperms) tree.
It bears 10-17 cm long clusters of attractive dark red tubular flowers, each in April to May. The flowers are (One having both male and female sexual characteristics and organs; at birth an unambiguous assignment of male or female cannot be made) hermaphrodite.
