 | | The Red Lake Indian Reservation, located in north-central Minnesota, is one of two closed Reservations in the United States, and contains the largest land base in U.S. EPA Region 5 that is entirely under Tribal ownership. |
 | | Red Lake land holdings total over 837,000 acres, and contains approximately 428,560 acres of forest, 236,500 acres of lakes, 439,043 acres of wetlands, and 55 miles of rivers and streams. |
 | | Approximately 6,500 enrolled members live on the Reservation, with another 3,500 members residing off the reservation, most of who live in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and still use the vast natural resources of the Reservation. |
