Red Prysock was one of the first of the big blasting tenor sax players of the rock 'n roll era.
Red had recorded some tunes for small local labels and one that was released was on the small New York based independent label Red Robin with his House Rockers on the tune called "Wiggles" (the flip side was "Crying My Heart Out") on #107.
During the summer Red Prysock and his band are on tour with Sarah Vaughn, The Cardinals, and Al Hibbler, in the Southern states.

Arthur Prysock Born 1929 (Spartunburg, SC.) - Died 1997 (Hamilton, Bermuda)
Arthur Prysock was perfectly at home singing jazz, blues, or RandB, but his smooth-as-silk baritone made him a superbly effective (and underappreciated) pop crooner in the manner of his chief influence, Billy Eckstine.
Prysock was born January 2, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, and was the brother of saxophonist Red Prysock.
Prysock sang on a number of Johnson's hits for the Decca label before going solo in 1952 to tour the chitlin circuit (sometimes with his brother).

The Best Of Red Prysock - Red Prysock - Pandora Internet Radio
Red Prysock, the brother of RandB singer Arthur Prysock, may not be as well remembered as King Curtis or Sam "The Man" Taylor, but he, too, was an ace saxophonist who blew his horn to the rock and roll beat in the '50s and '60s.
Although Prysock's album covers often pictured white teenagers, and he recorded tunes with titles like "Teenage Rock" (not included here), his raunchy horn style is pure RandB, with frequent vibraphone solos that add a jazzy dimension.
Prysock's urgent playing and raw energy make for exciting listening, and this anthology features the best of his best.
