Their oldest daughter was born in Tennessee in 1841 and when they came to Texas in about 1849 or 1850, they brought with them five daughters.

By the time I was a child growing up there, all trace of it was gone, but my father showed me the field where it used to be.
He said that there was a cemetery at the poor farm but the graves were not marked in any way that would last, so the cemetery is also lost.
