 | | Redmond Fire Department responds to fire and medical emergencies within a 45-square-mile area that includes the city of Redmond and the surrounding area of unincorporated King County known as King County Fire Protection District 34. |
 | | There are currently 137 dedicated employees in the Redmond Fire Department, including firefighters, driver/operators, lieutenants, captains, battalion chiefs, paramedics, and medical services officers that are stationed at our six fire stations in Redmond and unincorporated King County (Fire District 34), Kirkland's Fire Station 26, Evergreen Hospital, and Woodinville's Fire Station 35. |
 | | In January 2003, Redmond Fire Department became the lead agency for the Medic One program in Northeast King County and hired 26 paramedics and staff from Evergreen Healthcare, thus ensuring a tiered medical response to the region. |
