The CD case is bright red, with a drawing of a kangaroo holding a rifle on the cover and a photograph of a guy looking at a bullet on the back.
I guess they were going for the redneck theme--but this album really isn't about red-necks and their guns.
Redneck Wonderland is the work of well-worn, talented musicians, and I recommend it for anyone looking for some spirited rock 'n' roll music doing what it does best--fighting the establishment.

Redneck Wonderland is now all over the airwaves in its official form, and a radical video is about to explode.
The new single "Redneck Wonderland" (from the forthcoming album of the same name) was released to Australian radio stations on Tuesday, 26 May. "Redneck" and the other new songs are said to be much "harder" than some of the Oils’ previous work.

In many ways however, Redneck Wonderland is closest in scope to their 1983 effort, 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 with its combination of hard-edged sonic experimentalism and sharply focused politics.
Though he maintains that the similarity was unconscious, Garrett agrees that the comparison is an apt one: "It's a survival record, isn't it?" he says.

Like the town crier alerting citizens to danger, "Redneck Wonderland" is a wake-up call to ANY country fighting internal wars against conservatism and intolerance - "I don't want to run, I don't want to stay/'Cos everything that's near and dear/is old and in the way...time to take a stand/Redneck wonderland".
Backed by a heavy guitar riff and Rob Hirst's pounding drums, it reenergized my faith in this band's ability to use music as a means to air the dirty laundry of society - proselytizing and adamant on working change.
