Snakehead fish now banned from Nebraska
Reedfish and ropefish are completely different from snakeheads.
Some snakeheads may be referred to as reedfish but the scientific names Calamichthys calabaricus, Calamoichthys calabaricus and Epetoichthys calabaricus belong to a different fish entirely.
The reedfish would die in the cold and though it can grow to 3 feet and travel over land, it can't eat fish much bigger that a medium sized goldfish.

And lately I've found that it is sick with ich parasites (the reedfish is all covered in white spots that seem to multipicate each day).
As if these things were not enough, I just found some minutes ago (on this website) that one of the 'red-eyed' tetra is actually a lemon tetra, when I thought the contrary all the time (and again, the pet shop employees sold it as a 'red-eyed').
By the way, the reedfish has been behaving oddly since I bought it, and I suspect that it was sick before entering my aquarium.

Mixing reedfish with loaches and catfish will make your job difficult, because those fish steal the food.
But unless you know better, don't add loaches and catfish to a reedfish tank until you know your reedfish is tame and feeding properly.

In captivity the reedfish will readily accept bloodworms and most other frozen foods that sink to the bottom of the tank.
And a book that I have, Tropical Freshwater Aquarium Fish from A to Z, says that a full grown Reedfish can be kept in a 30 gallon aquarium.
I think reedfish are ok in 30gs, but Im sure I read somewhere that 40g is a better minimum tanksize...With the other fish you have, I dont think you should add anything, infact I would get rid of the goby because it will get far too big for the tank.
