The concept of refederation refers to an altered relationship between the bureaucracy in Ottawa on the one hand and the provinces on the other hand, and especially the province of British Columbia.
This party was registered in March 2001 and has spent five years designing a dual policy to lawfully bring about needed fundamental change.

Where the notion of imposing a republic on British Columbians(I really don't care if Canadians wish to flush themselves down the toilet, just leave BC out of it.)falls down is that you're assuming that the world is exactly the same today as it was in the 1700's.
Refederation, on the other hand, seems to me to be consistent with our constitutional traditions.
I say cut the damn decommissioned ceremonial British sovereign crown loose for good,….stop pretending fercrissake!… recognize and act on the natural sovereignty that now resides in the nation's citizens....call a national citizen's congress and constitute a proper operational document to achieve equitable consensual confederation with Ottawa's powers fully restricted and accountable.

That is, most British Columbians want first of all a government that can manage the affairs of government efficiently and effectively and in doing so can maintain a healthy economy and positive business climate too, then also with adequate or better social safety nets, universal health care, good schools and so on.
