Early reflections that reach the listening position within 10 milliseconds of the direct sound can create frequency response anomalies that will impact the resolution of music detail and reduce the articulation of vocal playback (i.e., the ability to follow the words of a song).
Ignoring the reflection from the wall behind the loudspeaker and the reflections from the wall behind the listener, all of the side reflections within the first 20 milliseconds of the direct sound occur within angles of from 27 to 76 degrees to either side of the nose of the listener.
In the case of the ceiling reflection, note that the angle of arrival for this particular early reflection is the same as the angle of arrival of the direct sound.

SEASONS OF LIFE: Reflections in Song
It is a memorable collection of 17 original inspirational and meditational songs written by Sarah Barchas over a period of many years, yet keenly relevant to today's times.
These are songs of reflection and self-awareness, looking at past experiences to take stock of one's life, seeking to find and make more meaning for ourselves and others as long as we have life.
The songs have themes of hope and healing, choices and chances, striving through any adversity, survival and loss, taking stock of one's life in the journey of each individual's search for meaning, focusing on the fragility and complexity of life and relationships across passages of experiences and time.

Paul van Dyk 'Reflections' album - MusicRemedy
The beauty of the 13 tracks featured on Reflections is that each and every one is boundary-defying in their own right, yet ballads like the pop sounding "Time Of Our Lives" and meaningful "Like A Friend" are extremely accessible.
VAN DYK started writing the song upon returning from a trip to India where he was taken aback by the culture's overt poverty, especially seeing starving children in the streets.
The most surprising song on Reflections is the album's second single, "Time of Our Lives," which marks the producer's first collaboration with a rock band.

She remained in the U.S. and married Black Panther leader Stokely Carmichael, but after harassment in the U.S.—including the cancellation of concerts and her RCA recording contract—they fled to Guinea, West Africa at the invitation of president Sekou Toure.
Reflections opens with a summery version of “Iyaguduza,” followed by “Pata Pata,” a song that played a particularly large role in making Makeba a household name.

Splendid Magazine reviews Sarah Barchas: Seasons of Life: Reflections in Song
In the liner notes, Barchas explains that "(t)he songs focus on the fragility of life, the complexity of life, the ephemeral aspects of time, and the need to...find meaning while we have life." Basically that's it.
She deserves credit for attempting such grand themes, but unfortunately she doesn't come up with anything new to say about what are probably among the oldest subjects of literature and song.
Though this disc is aimed at an adult audience, she still sounds like a kindergarten teacher singing to a group of five-year olds.

Reflections of Faerie   (Site not responding. Last check: )
Reflections of Faerie has less of an ethereal quality and more of a renaissance/early music/classical feel at times.
Of course, the songs are still wonderfully soft and peaceful pieces that invite repose and reflection, a stilling of the heart and quieting of the soul.
There are touches here and there of "deep dark woods" mystical music, as on "Reflections" (a song that features most of the instruments listed in the liner notes), but for the most part, it's a sparser and less overtly dramatic recording than previous releases from Stadler.

First song "Reflections Of A Rapist" sounds like Mudvayne playing hardcore with a gun held to their head and whilst it's not an entirely focused assault, the band lay all their cards down on the table and show what they are capable of.
With a more tight song structure the band could convey their emotion far better than this disjointed but praiseworthy effort.
The song builds in tension and then hits the ground running with a lethargic tortured vocal that is as much tuneful as it is haunting.
