Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America is a Christian, Protestant, Reformed denomination which adheres to the biblical principles first enunciated during the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century.
The Church is fully committed "to the authority of the Bible as the inerrant, infallible Word of God," with its subordinate standards embodied in the Westminster Confession of Faith, and based upon the writings of Martin Luther, John Calvin, and John Knox.
Reformed Presbyterians have also been referred to historically as Covenanters because of their identification with public covenanting in Scotland, beginning in the 16th century.

In 1828, the Reformed Presbyterian Synod [RPCNA] pledged her patronage to the Colonization Society—a scheme really fostered by the slave-holders to rid the country of free negroes {24} by colonizing them in Africa; so that those in slavery might be the more easily held in subjection.
In 1911 the Synod pretended to sever her relations with the National Reform Association; but all that was done was to remove the collection for it from the official list of schemes of the church, while at the same time commending it to the liberality of the people.

The Oak Glen overture specified the Canadian Reformed, Free Reformed, Orthodox Christian Reformed, Orthodox Presbyterians, Presbyterian Church in America, Reformed Church in the United States, and Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America as denominations with which the classis should pursue fraternal relations.
