The measure for public transport prioritisation was required also by the decrease in public transport vehicles’ speed (to 4-5km/h) recorded as a result of traffic congestion, on these boulevards.
The impacts of the public transport implementation were evaluated through traffic and opinion surveys conducted by RATB – "Regia Autonoma de Transport Bucuresti" (surface public transport operator), in June and July 1997, which revealed positive effects for public transport.
The barriers encountered in the implementation process of the public transport roadspace were mainly institutional (the Master Plan and the General Traffic Plan for Bucharest are not ready yet and a transport authority is not established yet) and attitudinal (the restrictions are sometimes not respected, the law enforcement is not very strong).

Here I try to photo, organize and archive as much as possible from the fleet of vehicles belonging to RATB (Regia Autonoma de Transport Bucuresti, meaning Bucharest Public Transportation Company).
Vehicles seen in the yard or on the streets without line number, as a special run, going back to yard, broken, pulled, during tests, during running in, as a school vehicle, on the festive special line.
Also some of them are shaken or out-of-focus, this being indicated by a small note '(shaken)' next to the picture.
