In summary, the current regulatory systems supported by Northrop Grumman: Are nearing the end of their life cycle, and are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain due to the “patches” made over the life of the system making it inefficient to add on “graphical user interfaces” and “wrap around” systems.

ROLE OF MOTIVATIONAL AND SELF-REGULATORY PROCESSES ON
Developing such regulatory skills is particularly critical for students at the secondary school level when the syllabi are more cognitively demanding and regulation of one's behaviour towards effective learning is increasingly called upon.
As such, when learning processes are aimed at strengthening self-efficacy, improving self-concept and helping students move toward a more internal locus of control, a better platform is provided for individuals to make lasting changes in their beliefs about learning.
This research underscores the importance of appreciating different kinds of cognitive and psychological processes that may be valued across cultures and shows promising results on the relationships between academic and social processes in thirteen-year-old students' learning.

 Creating a Responsible Regulatory Environment
This review process, involving a variety of federal and state regulators and extensive notification and communication activities to include all stakeholders, was designed to ensure that public safety and environmental protection would not only be maintained, but enhanced.
OPS also believed that the regulatory environment should promote open dialogue and information flow to identify problems and the best solutions to these problems, to evaluate whether the solutions are producing the intended effect, and to communicate these findings to the public.
This often leaves the operator with an uncertain regulatory process in which the terms of acceptance can appear to be sufficiently uncertain and inconsistent that it is difficult to plan internal corporate actions around them.

 Milestone 2: Genomics:GTL Program
Regulatory processes govern which genes are expressed in a cell at any given time, the level of that expression, the resultant biochemical activities, and the cell’s responses to diverse environmental cues and intracellular signals.
Every regulatory module encoded in the genome—that is, every node of every gene regulatory network—receives multiple disparate inputs and processes them in ways that can be represented mathematically as combinations of logic functions (e.g., “and”functions, “switch”functions, and “or”functions).
Integral to this effort is the task of relating the regulatory apparatus to the groups of target genes they regulate and to whatever is known about the function of those target genes.

NAIC and the states are working to develop a model licensing process that would permit insurance agents and brokers to meet licensing requirements in all states by satisfying the licensing requirements of any one state.
With reciprocity, states would not have to change their laws, regulations, and processes but might have difficulty convincing a particular state insurance department to give nonresidents from states with fewer requirements the same rights as its own resident agents to sell insurance in the state.
Conclusions NAIC's efforts to promote sound and uniform regulatory processes across the states are being put to the test as pressure builds from both GLBA and competitive forces for more efficient and streamlined insurance regulatory processes.

RAC Coastal Zone Inquiry - Final Report, Chapter 4 continued - Regulatory Processes
4.2.1 Regulatory mechanisms, such as council by-laws or conditions on development approvals (in contrast with economic instruments such as user charges) are the principal means by which governments control activities and allocate resources among users and potential users of resources.
For developers the areas were council procedures, processing difficulties within planning departments, opposition by residents to development proposals, insufficient delegation of decision-making responsibility to council staff, and lack of clear guidance from council planners.
One of the major deficiencies of the current process for approval of coastal development is that it is frequently focused on assessment of individual projects, with little consideration of cumulative effects of a number of developments within the same region.
