 Per Bredesen
Bredesen made his name at his local club Ørn Horten, and it soon became obvious that he was an exceptionally talented player.
He made his international debut at the tender age of 18, coming on as a substitute for the injured Reidar Kvammen (in his final international match) against Yugoslavia in 1949, and within minutes of entering the game he received a pass from Gunnar Thoresen and fired the ball in the top corner of the goal.
A star was born, and for the next two years, the technically gifted Bredesen was ever-present at inside-right, scoring six more goals for Norway, before Italian giants Lazio gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.
