I was on an AxlRose kick one day and this came up.
I thought I'd check it out and besides his picture on the cover and one song that mentions him, it really didn't have anything to do with it and I'm otherwise not interested in this type of music.
These are songs for people who have lived (or are living) hand-to-mouth (or dumpster to mouth) and have ever found salvation in a basement show.

It's not even like that, people just think that because a once smaller band, like every other band in the world, got famous, that they're instantly sell outs just out there for the money.

Furthermore, these songs sound more like lounge music than punk, especially "Sink Florida, Sink." As a big fan of their acoustic EP’s, I was very anxious to hear these songs and very disappointed at the result.
It seems as though the members of Against Me! are not taking themselves as seriously on this album than ReinventingAxlRose and their earlier seven inches.

But Every album these boys have releases has been great with ReinventingAxlRose being by far the best so far.
Next is the killer title track, `ReinventingAxlRose.' It's a good song, but probably my least favorite song on the album.
Against Me!'s pivotal and breakthrough album, "ReinventingAxlRose" deserves so many more stars than the meager five I, and all reviewers here, are alloted.

Against Me!’s debut lp ReinventingAxlRose (they have a number of CD/ep’s and 7 inches out on various labels), manages to effectively blend a number of differing musical styles into something refreshing and unique.
“AxlRose” displays lyrics that should be a part of every travelling band’s 10 commandments.

This is a great cd, I've known this band prior to everyone else who has known them since The Eternal Cowboy and was a little let down by this cd.
Anyhow some of the tracks (Walking Is Still Honest, I Still Love You Julie, ReinventingAxlRose) were much better in their EP form and should have been left as they were but other than that this is a strong cd from one of the better punk rock bands today.
