		MONTREAL (CP) -- Clothing retailer Reitmans (Canada) Ltd. (TSX:RET.A) reported a rise in third-quarter profits to $23.4 million from a year-earlier $19.2 million on strong sales growth, and said it has raised its quarterly dividend by 14.3 per cent.
		Due to the strong results, Montreal-based Reitmans said its board has approved a hike in quarterly dividends to 16 cents per share -- payable Jan. 25, 2007 to shareholders of record on Jan. 11, 2007 -- from the previous quarterly rate of 14 cents.
		Reitmans also said it plans to buy back up to five per cent of its outstanding stock over the next 12 months under its normal course issuer bid.
