Before demerger RIL Market Cap was 1,01,970..62 crores of which approx 86% was of RIL and I.P.C.L.RIL held 50% in Reliance Energy,42.6% in Reliance Capital and 45% holding in Reliance Infocomm and a formula was needed to offload this holding of reliance in these companies to Mr.Anil Ambani’s control.
The share of reliance which fell badly when market started speculating the feud between both brothers and came to an all low of 480 and was traded in range of 520~550 jumped to 645 on 21st June’05 and within one month crossed the 700 mark helped investors to gain almost 40% in months time.
