Remake - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In film, a remake is a newer version of a previously released film or a newer version of the source (play, novel, story, etc.) of a previously made film.
The term "remake" is generally used in reference to a movie which uses an earlier movie as the main source material, rather than in reference to a second, later movie based on the same source.
With the exception of remakes such as 1998's Psycho, which is a shot-for-shot recreation of the 1960 film, remakes generally make significant character, plot, and theme changes.

Another deleted scene in the 2005 remake comes just after the rescue party escaped the brontosaurus stampede: they then try to cross a swamp on some improvised rafts, and then are attacked by a water creature of some kind.
Unlike in both the 1933 original and the 1976 remake, the natives are never seen again in the 2005 remake after the rescue party force their way to the wall to rescue Ann.

Though this space has been known to lament about the tendency for Hollywood to take foreign material and turn it into inferior product, during the last year there were a handful of films that used the formula in a far more positive manner than usual.

Yes,maybe he wants to make a remake, but he has many projects that he is working on now and hasn't even begun to work on yet,so it wouldn't be out til like the end of the Ps3's cycle or the beginning of the Ps4's.
It would be cool if they extended it and made AC a playable part after you kill Sephiroth in northern crater, it says "two years later" and then the game continues for another 3-5 hours worth of gameplay where you fight kadaj and sephiroth again for the last time and so on...
I'd like to see a remake within the prime of the PS3 rather than the beginning when developers are still getting used to the technology capabilites.

Brainwash, Rinse, Repeat - The improbable integrity of the new Manchurian Candidate. By David Edelstein
When I heard that Jonathan Demme planned to remake John Frankenheimer's sensational 1962 thriller The Manchurian Candidate, I passed in about a minute through four stages of Kübler-Rossian grief: denial ("He can't be that stupid"), anger ("Is nothing sacred?"), bargaining ("I just won't see the damn thing"), and depression ("Is he that desperate?").
Beautifully made and unsurpassingly creepy, it's the rare remake with something contemporary to add.
The terrible new threat in Demme's remake isn't Reds or terrorists but a multinational conglomerate—which functions, as the recent documentary The Corporation contends, with the same level of conscience as a DSM-IV textbook psychopath.
