reMorse programming language specification (you may distribute this file freely, but please do not modify it) (also, do not distribute the other reMorse files without this one) note: this is only the specification.
Purpose of reMorse reMorse (pronounced with the accent on the 're') was designed to be as unrecognizable as possible, so I figured that Morse code would be a good starting point.
reMorse is such a simple language that I thought an interpreter for it could not possibly fail.

While ascii dominated the Amiga scene, the PC scene was giving birth to an art medium of their own, ANSI.
Previous to Tinyz, there were only a few ascii artists that were as known as Tinyz, one of those being Piromaniak of TRiBE.But no one had the grip on the proverbial ascii testicles in the PC scene that KTS!Ascii did.
The Amiga ascii scene also is not thriving as much as it once was, many of the older, once highly-active artists are no longer participating as they used to.

Remorse was established in late 1994 by two IBM-PC scene ASCII artists from San José, California who went by the pseudonyms Necromancer and Necronite.
While text-based art in a general sense is nothing new to speak of, Remorse is considered to be one of the earliest organized bodies created solely for creating ASCII art, second only to Katharsis (KTS).
Remorse ASCII artists Necromancer and Killa Hertz both appear in the Artscene episode of the documentary film BBS Documentary by Jason Scott.

I mean, it took ascii art, which is in itself pretty geeky, and single-handedly made it completely obsolete.
There's something far more entertaining looking at a 1000 line color ascii with perfect curves which took hours to create than there is viewing a few hundred automatically generated characters which if you squint looks like something you could just see in jpg anyways.
Ascii art back in the day was great since it could be seen anywhere.
