		René Coty, né le 20 mars 1882 au Havre, mort le 22 novembre 1962 au Havre, était un homme d'État français, dont la carrière culmina avec son élection à la présidence de la République française en 1954.
		René Coty fut marqué par les convictions politiques et religieuses de sa famille.
		René Coty est ministre de la Reconstruction et de l'Urbanisme dans le cabinet Robert Schuman (1) du 24 novembre 1947 au 26 juillet 1948, dans le cabinet André Marie du 26 juillet au 5 juillet 1948 et dans le cabinet Robert Schuman du 5 septembre 1948 au 11 septembre 1948.
