Renato Carosone (Naples, 3 January 1920 20 May 2001 in Rome) was among the greatest figures of Italian music scene in the second half of the 20th century.
Renato Carosone studied piano at Naples's Conservatory and obtained his diploma in 1937, when he was just 17.
During 1950s Carosone became more and more popular, his orchestra was on high demand both in Italy and abroad, and records sales were soaring high.

 Marino Marini
Born in 1924 (four years after Renato Carosone, and four years before Domenico Modugno) in a family of musicians, Marino Marini graduated from the Conservatorio di Bologna and made a difficult living by teaching music, until called by the army.
In 1947, while being appointed artistic director of the Metropolitan music-hall in Napoli, he tried various forms of musical ensembles.
This was the time that his musicians chose to leave him abruptly — yet, the resilient maestro was ready in 1961 with another quartette, and lost no time in arranging a first tour in USSR, followed by a tour in Poland in 1962.
