The Rendon Group, a super-secretive firm that specializes in burnishing the image of the United States around the world, was hired in October to track news and views on the United States around the world - and it is still working on that contract.
A spokeswoman confirms that the Rendon Group continues to work with the Pentagon, and she disputes the criticism of the OSI effort.
According to news accounts, most of the Rendon Group's work has involved the Pentagon and CIA, beginning in 1989 when it was hired during the invasion of Panama to help with PR for the new U.S.-backed government.

This story is just waiting to come out, not only about Rendon's role in the renamed successor to the Office of Strategic Influence, but the fact that the propaganda project was not shut down for months after lawmakers demanded it be, but just went underground in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Thanks to a mis-sent email by a Rendon Group contractor working on the underground propaganda successor OSI project from the Pentagon basement to "all", there are a lot of people at the Pentagon who know about this.
And since a lot of the Rendon employees working on this propaganda project were contractors, I was told, they were pretty much all canned on their behind the next day, no benefits.
