APK-Inform agriculture consultancy said the port of Reni, on the Ukrainian stretch of the Danube river, was also building new storage facilities for about 15,000 tons of grain.
Ukraine is trying to boost its capacity at ports after the country harvested its second big crop in a row this year, bringing in about 37 million tons clean weight of grain compared with 39.7 million a year ago.
Ukraine also hopes to become a leading exporter in Europe, boosting sales abroad to at least 12 million tons this season from 9.2 million last year.
