Renwick is a small town in Marlborough, New Zealand.
Aside from the prevalent grape growing and wineries around the area, one of Renwick's claims to fame are the Renwick Butcher's Mince Pies.
Renwick has a variety of shops including a popular dairy, a supermarket, a baker, a butchers, a hairdressers, a tavern and a bar and brewery.

Renwick had an ambitious dream to establish a self sufficient community in the Wairau, and in 1856 the necessary subdivision was made to allow the establishment of such a community.
Renwick was in an interesting position with loyalties on both sides, but in the end he chose to lead the separatist movement.
Renwick left no family to suceed him, and the town that bears his name has never achieved the status he might have intended, however his contributions to the development of Marlborough are a lasting legacy.
