  CUMULATIVE TRAUMA DISORDERS
It is noted that intensive repetitive activity or forceful use done on a daily basis does not allow the tissues a chance to recover.
People repetitively used their hands and some 60% of the work force came down with symptoms including fatigue and a variety of nervous conditions.
They recognized that frequent repetitive motion and vibration caused swelling, and this was an early recognition of one of the causative factors in cumulative trauma problems.

In an image there exists approximate repetitiveness of some areas, and this can be discovered by applying an approximate pattern matching with the quadratic distortion function.
In this context the repetitiveness and approximate repetitiveness are not only within a single frame, but also between two successive frames.
It turns out, however, that repetitiveness occurs but shifted in phase, so difficult to recognize in the time occurs but shifted in phase, so difficult to recognize in the time domain.

BioMed Central | Abstract | 1471-2105-7-541 | How repetitive are genomes?
Genome sequences vary strongly in their repetitiveness and the causes for this are still debated.
Here we propose a novel measure of genome repetitiveness, the index of repetitiveness, Ir, which can be computed in time proportional to the length of the sequences analyzed.
This reveals a broad spectrum of repetitiveness among diverse genomes which agrees qualitatively with previous studies of repeat content.

Repetitive verbal behaviors (RVBs) in various neurogenic disorders have a long history of attracting scholarly attention, and the literature shows an impressive number of categories and definitions of RVBs.
As well as repetitive behavioral patterns, such as the repetition of utterances, parts of utterances, or motor sequences, persons with, for example, dementia or brain damage secondary to closed head injury may also show patterns of topic repetitiveness or marked redundancy of information.
In contrast, the main concern of this presentation is the conversational embeddedness, and function, of RVBs and topic bias in conversations involving persons with and without dementia.

Repetitiveness Of Languages Generated By Morphisms (ResearchIndex)
Abstract: We study the repetition of subwords in languages generated by morphisms.
First we give a simple proof for the fact that such a language is repetitive if and only if it is strongly repetitive (Ehrenfeucht and Rozenberg, 1983).
From this proof we obtain a structurally simple polynomial-time algorithm for deciding whether such a language is repetitive.

For example, the variable "work effort" can be defined conceptually as the amount of effort required to do the work, including speed, hardness, effort, dexterity, and repetitiveness.
Rules for assigning labels to properties of variables are the most important component of measurement, because poor rules can make the outcome meaningless.
It is difficult to measure concepts directly, e.g., "work effort," so what are usually measured are indicators of concepts, such as speed, repetitiveness, etc.
