 | | Having ROMs on my computer has probably degraded the replay value of certain old games, because whereas I originally spent precious hours playing through games from the beginning, now I can just save in the middle, or I'm so good at an old game that it's no longer a challenge. |
 | | Certainly more games in the 16-bit generation were replay-based (for whatever reason), or had more replay value, but there are plenty of games nowadays that follow the same path. |
