The Singapore Armed Forces (abbreviated SAF, Tentera Singapura in Malay) is a unified force of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Republic of Singapore Navy, and the Singapore Army.

INGAPORE'S air force is on guard against copycat terrorists who may be planning September 11-style attacks against the city-state, Minister of Defence Teo Chee Hean said.

Air forces from Singapore, Thailand and the United States came together for the flying phase of exercise COPETIGER 98 in February 1998.
The second phase allowed the participating air force units to sharpen their air combat skills and promote closer relations among the three air forces.

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. — A Singaporean Air Force fighter squadron stationed at Cannon Air Force Base will be gone next month.
The decision was based on budget issues in Singapore and not on Cannon as a military installation, the congressional members said.
The Singapore Air Force unit has been at Cannon since November 1998 when the U.S. and Singaporean governments reached an agreement to bring a second Singaporean F-16 unit to the United States.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RepSAF) became only the second export customer for Northrop Grumman/Lockheed Martin's APG-78 Longbow millimetric-wave mast-mounted radar to be installed in its still-to-be delivered Boeing/MDH AH-64D attack helicopters, with its initial $25.9 million contract (to be) announced here Tuesday.
Singapore was the first Asian-Pacific customer for the Boeing/MDH Apache, from a $620 million FMS contract in March 1999 for eight AH-64Ds, with options on 12 more, for delivery from 2002.
"Selection of the Longbow multirole radar by the Republic of Singapore Air Force clearly demonstrates its confidence in the ability of the radar system to enhance both the overall mission effectiveness and survivability of the AH-64D", said William H.
