		There are also many puppies and dogs that end up in rescue due to unforeseen circumstances where their human can no longer take care of them due to sickness etc..
		When you adopt a dog from one of the rescue groups you can rest assured that the dog has been updated on vaccinations, is free of all internal and external parasites, has been neutered or spayed, and normally has been checked for any temperament problems.
		Rescue really is an excellent way to find that new family companion whether you are looking for a puppy or an adult dog.

	OnPoint Rescue
		A BBQ lunch was served up by the volunteers, of hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, baked beans, fresh vegetables with dip, fruit salad and of course you can not forget the desserts, a variety of cookies and rice krispie treats.
		A raffle was held to help in raising funds for the rescue.
		There were four different baskets available in which to choose from, a basket with all English Pointer items, a basket with all German Shorthaired Pointer items, a basket with all Coca Cola related items (donated by Bridget Greer) and a basket with a variety of doggie items (donated by Polka Dog Bakery).

		Chiodini Rescue was founded January 24, 2002. We are, Nadia and Mick Chiodini, a small state licensed, in our home, not for profit rescue. We usually have no foster homes and will have between 4-6 rescue dogs at a time. We are located in Festus, Missouri
		We also work with Val/Ed ACD Rescue. Their dogs go through our program. And we work with Jefferson County Animal Welfare, taking dogs in need from them when we have room and screening for great homes for dogs they have in foster care.
