As President Bush signed the Healthy Forests Restoration Act into law last December, Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg (R), a co-sponsor of the measure, called the legislation a “literal breath of fresh air that puts common sense land management practices back on top of the agenda for the nation’s public forests.”
On Friday, February 20, Rehberg, in conjunction with the Montana Wood Products Association, and the Montana Logging Association, is hosting a Healthy Forests Restoration Act (HFRA) seminar intended to provide industry professionals and interested parties with a working overview of the legislation, and facilitate a forum to answer questions regarding the landmark measure.
It is free and open to the public and media.
