He was born on the 3d of February, 1852, in Restigouche county, New Brunswick, of which county his grandfather, John McMillan, was a pioneer.
In 1873 he left his New Brunswick home and came to Sacramento county, California, and for a time thereafter was engaged in agricultural pursuits near Antelope.
In 1875 he went to San Luis Obispo county, where he learned the dairy business in all its various departments, and embarked in that industry, also for a short time having charge of a stock ranch in Solano county for the late Judge S. Hastings.

She studied dietetics at Columbia Medical Centre in New York, becoming a dietetian and a physiotherapist, well-qualified to work with her husband, Dr. Wilson Ewart, of Toronto, whom she met while studying in New York, and together, they decided to live and practice orthopedic medicine in New Brunswick.
In 1947, she was appointed deputy magistrate for the County of Northumberland, the first woman in New Brunswick to hold this position.

 James Dumville (b 1837)
In 1815 the new immigrants to Prince Edward Island included a family of Dumvilles from England: father James Sr (39), sons Thomas (15), Joseph (11), Edward (6), and Samuel (5), and a pregnant wife who delivered a son, Thomas Jr, after landing (the ages are approximate).
Many descendants of James Sr believe he was the son of Henry Dumville (born in 1725 in Ireland, died in 1789 in Scotland) who was the son of Edmund Dumville (born in about 1701 in Ireland, died in 1762 in Olney, Buckinghamshire).
The Allister George entry was used on the basis of the military death notice in the Book of Rememberances.

Archibald Mott and Eliza Turvey, who moved separately from Restigouche County, New Brunswick, married in Green Bay, Wisconsin then settled and raised their family in Oconto, beginning in 1872.
The family is buried in the Evergreen cemetary, in Oconto.
The Oconto County Reporter reported that Archibald Mott was one of Oconto's early settlers, a well known lumberman, engaged in the lumbering business in Oconto County until the early 1900's.
