  Reticles
As the reticle is viewed through the microscope eyepiece, the graduations are magnified by the power of the eyepiece.
When a reticle is used in the microscope, an enlarged image of the specimen is projected on the reticle scale.
Before using this reticle holder, the diaphragm of the stereo eyepiece must be removed to allow the reticle holder to slip into the eyepiece tube.

Position the eyepiece reticle directly over the micrometer (with the stage controls) and align the left-hand rule in the reticle with one of the longer, numbered (100 micrometer) division lines on the stage micrometer (Figure 1(b)).
The reticle superimposed on a stage micrometer in Figure 1(b) illustrates alignment of the left-hand rule (marked 0) on the reticle with the stage micrometer division marked 20.
Orient the reticle scale to coincide with the contour of the specimen region under scrutiny.

 Immersed reticle - Patent 4178404
The reticle and substrate to which it is attached are then cemented with optical cement to a second transparent substrate to immerse the anti-reflectance reticle between tranparent substrates in optical cement.
Ray 17 strikes the backside of antireflectant reticle 13 and is diffused and absorbed by a copper oxide surface on reticle 13.
Reticle 13 is immersed between substrates 11 and 12 by an optical cement 14 which also serves to bind substrate 11 adhesively to substrate 12.

Reticles for Microscopes - They are also called Eyepiece Micrometers
Reticles (pronounced ret-eh-kuls, with the accent on the "ret") are sometimes also called "eyepiece micrometers".
The lens that holds the reticle must have a reticle retainer ring and the reticle must be of the proper diameter for the particular eyepiece lens.
The proper way to calibrate a reticle with a stage micrometer is to line up the left edges of each, then see where the lines converge again.

Gunsight and reticle therefor - Patent 5920995
A reticle of this embodiment is preferably constructed from an optically transparent wafer or disc having an optical center which coincides with a center of a field of vision when the wafer is mounted in a scope.
To use a scope and reticle of the present invention, it is preferred that the shooter become familiar with the characteristics of the weapon and ammunition to be used.
Upon viewing this target in the reticle, the shooter aligns the horizontal arm 34 of the rangefinder with the ground level upon which the moose is standing, and the vertical arm 32 of the rangefinder with the Moose's shoulder.

Selecting the proper reticle is equal in importance to the selection of the riflescope itself.
Superior to duplex reticles, this floating three-plex design utilizes all the functional elements of a duplex without unnecessary obstructions of your field of view at the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock positions.
This reticle was designed in response to extensive research conducted by Nightforce with the cooperation of the world’s foremost high power competitors.

 Y-TAC RETICLE
Reticle system is set for the Mil system at 10X setting on the variable scopes.
The basis for the reticle is the WWII Post & Crosshair pattern, but differs by featuring a short 1/4 mil x 1 mil tall post, (easily seen in poor light), surrounded by protective “wings” on both sides, just as the rifle.
Like the WWII reticle, the Y-Tac uses a post aiming point and horizontal crosswire, but at 10x magnification instead of 2.5x used in WWII, with a correspondingly huge increase in precision capability due to the four-fold increase in magnification while retaining a small, but highly visible post aiming point for poor light shooting.

 Ultratech - Products and Technology
The reticle is the medium by which a stepper can transfer a chip design from an engineer's computerized layout to the wafer.
Using this approach the reticle image size is the same as the size of the image exposed on the substrate.
The advantages include smaller imaging and quality areas than reduction reticles and aligner masks, the ability to place multiple layers on a single reticle and the need for a pellicle on only one side of the reticle.

The Nightforce NP-R2 is a performance-proven reticle designed specifically to enhance a shooter’s long range accuracy and ranging capabilities under a variety of field conditions.
Targets are framed inside the circular elements of the reticle to quickly estimate the range of a target.
Rather than the solid dots that obscure most of the target, the Nightforce mil-dot reticle consists of see-through round dots which are placed on the vertical and horizontal cross lines that serve as reference points.

Given the current state of technology, reticle and IC manufacturers can hope to bypass the 200-mm wafer era of reticle automation and proceed directly to the standardized, automated reticle transport and handling methods that are consistent with the move by 300-mm wafer facilities to isolation technologies.

Zero Yield — The Price of Field-Induced Reticle Damage
For that reason a special test reticle was designed, with high sensitivity to electric fields and a repeating pattern that simplifies inspection for damage.[1] Numerous studies using this reticle have been conducted and it has been shown to replicate very closely the damage behaviour of production masks, but with enhanced field sensitivity.
Hence when considering the risk to a reticle it is the electric field which must be managed, not the rate of charge transfer or the voltage which are the things that conventional ESD countermeasures focus on.
These examples demonstrate that rather than being well-understood in the semiconductor industry, the risk to reticles is surrounded by a shroud of mythology and misunderstanding that to some extent is being perpetuated by the support industries that are being relied upon to deal with the problem.

MICROSCOPY UK / MICSCAPE - Topical Tips 9. Eyepiece reticle
The eyepiece reticle is widely used for measuring subjects on a microscope slide, (after first calibrating it with a stage micrometer).
Eyepiece reticles aren't too expensive new and much cheaper than the stage micrometers, stage finders etc. However, if on a budget, a cheap source of eyepiece reticles can be the junk sales, or scientific surplus stores.
The grid eyepiece reticle is a particularly useful slide subject for checking for major faults in the projected image as the eye is good at spotting even slight geometrical distortions when compared against the rectangular border of the image frame.

D3 HELP | The Targeting Reticle | By Chris "Mobius" Davies
The targeting reticle in D3 is something of a misnomer because the reticle that appears on your HUD will depend on which ship and which weapons you currently have selected.
See the top picture: This shows a dark area at the bottom of the reticle and this means the fusion (which has just fired) is not yet "reloaded".
Because your weapons are clustered around your reticle (1 left inner, 1 left outer, 1 right inner, 1 right outer and one central, but low mount) is simply a GUIDE as to where to aim when distances are close.
