  Reverse cascade - Definition, explanation
The reverse cascade is a juggling pattern which is the reverse of the basic juggling cascade.
While in a cascade objects are caught on the outside of the pattern (on the far left and right) and thrown from closer to the middle of the pattern, in a reverse cascade the opposite is the case.
In the reverse cascade, objects are caught near the middle of the pattern, and thrown from the outside.

Cascade (juggling) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In juggling, a cascade is the simplest pattern achievable with an odd number of props.
For the three-ball cascade the juggler starts with two balls in one hand and the third ball in his other hand.
The cascade is only performed with an odd number of objects (3, 5, 7, etc.) The basic pattern for an even number of objects is the Fountain (juggling).

The pattern is the same as the basic 3-Ball Cascade, where you alternate hands, throwing each ball to the same height, resulting in a braid-like pattern.
The reason it is so hard is not because the pattern is difficult to understand, but because all the throws have to be almost perfect to keep the pattern going.
Even though the Fountain is a totally different pattern with different throws than the Cascade, it is still a good indication that you can handle the increased hand speed required.

Accordingly, the reverse thrust inlet vortex inhibitor concept according to the present invention takes advantage of the large quantities of air passing through the fan air bypass duct and provides a relatively large, high flow, curtain of fan duct air directed downwards underneath the engine nacelle.
The jets become active when the thrust reverser is deployed and are deactivated when the thrust reverser stows and seals for forward thrust operation.
3, the reverse thrust inlet vortex inhibitor design according to the present invention directs jets 48 of fan duct exhaust underneath the fan thrust reverser cascades 22 to entrain air aft and to block movement of air forward to the inlet 50 from behind and underneath the turbofan engine/nacelle installation 10, as shown.

In MillsMess, the standard cascade and the reverse cascade, the balls travel in a figure of eight.
In the standard cascade, they come up in the middle; in both the others, they go down in the middle (the figure of eight is traversed in the opposite direction).
However, changing the positions to obtain the standard cascade involves reversing the direction in which the figure-of-eight route is traversed, and reversing the direction of the hand movement used to perform the throw.

Serious Juggling: Glossary of juggling equipment terms
To juggle balls by bouncing them off the ground using a throwing motion in the direction of the ground (usually in a reverse cascade).
In basic site swap notation, one assumes that a juggler is making alternating throws in a steady rhythm, and assigns a number to each throw based on how many beats later the thrown object will have just landed and will be available again to be thrown.
For example, if you were to juggle a steady three-ball cascade, and then juggle two in one hand for two throws of that hand, and then return to the three-ball cascade, the pattern would read:...3 3 3 4 2 4 2 3 3 3...

Multiplex to 5-ball cascade: There are various methods of going from a continuous 5-ball multiplex pattern into a cascade.

[It is just as easy to switch to a normal 5-ball reverse cascade here by throwing over, except for the fact that most people's cascade pattern is much stronger.] There is a change of tempo from the multiplex pattern to the regular pattern, so you may have to rush a bit.
