  Directory:Revetec Cam-Drive Engine - PESWiki
The beneficial ownership of the patents and patent applications was assigned to Revetec on 14 September 2005.
The advantages of Revetec’s engine technology can be applied to most internal and external combustion engines for use in motor vehicles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, pumps and generators, light aircraft engines, diesel and marine engines.
Revetec has completed its design on its prototype, which could now be adapted by our customers to meet their specific requirements.

Revetec will take over the market it aviation, travle in time and space to other solar systems and be the dominant powersource in the auto industry for the next 5000 years.
We are all waiting for proof of concept data from the Revetec team; you are not the first to point this out.
Revetec have said they don't have the 3:1 gearing anymore (giving 3 times the torque at 1/3 the rpm, therefore the SAME power).

 Revetec Crashes Out At Newcastle
Neither of the crew were injured, but the boat sustained a moderate amount of damage with the cowls torn from both engines and the hull finishing upside down but floating bow high.
At the same time as assistance was being rendered to the Revetec crew, National A competitor Piranha was having a tough time themselves.
Revetec was in second position when the boat flipped bringing the race to an end.

 Halfbakery: Variable Stroke Engine
Revetec is currently developing an engine design that uses cams instead of a crankshaft to control the linear movement of the pistons.
//Revetec's engine could be made with a simpler single set of cams// I find this a bit too vague and without a well described solution/idea, I can't give a bun.
The Revetec engine produces more power than a conventional engine because it has a piston-movement profile better suited to the expansion dynamics of burning gasoline, and because it has fewer moving parts, which waste energy.

Feature Article - Cams Replace Crank in new Engine Design - 05/03
In addition, the piston doesn’t travel a path that is strictly parallel to the bore, so an angular force equal to the pressure on the top of the piston is transferred to the cylinder wall.
Bradley Howell-Smith, managing director of Revetec Limited (Sydney, Australia) and inventor of the Revetec engine, arrived at a solution to the problem in 1996, when he replaced the crank with counter-rotating cams driving an output shaft, and made the connecting rods rigid.
In the Revetec engine, pistons are attached to their horizontal opposites via a rigid connecting rod.

 Revetec | Leading Engine Technology
REVETEC is a world-class engine design development and prototyping company.
The Revetec engine has a flat and high torque curve over a wide RPM range than equivalent conventional engines.
Another benefit is that 60% of down-force that is transmitted to the main bearing is deflected to rotational force in the Revetec design.

However my current favorite is still the turbo two-stoke diesel engine, my old favorite was the Sterling engine, and I will always have admiration for the Wankel rotary.
REVETEC’s break-through design has a higher bottom-end mechanical advantage over equivalent conventional engine.
This in turn lifts the overall engine efficiency up to 50% more, making the engine significantly more fuel-efficient than a conventional engine, with increased power/weight and torque/weight ratios.

He and his business partners plan to float their company Revetec on the Australian Stock Exchange in November, but he concedes they may have a hard time convincing some investors.
As well as cars, the engine could be used to drive light aircraft, boats, generators, pumps and industrial equipment.
Its engine is the latest in a long line of “revolutionary” designs, most of which have failed to make any mainstream impact.

So, if Revetec achieved to keep the main rollers rolling (and never sliding) on the trilobe cam, the problem of the thrust rollers of GRECO design is already solved.
The bearings must be encapsulated in a case due to the fact that the bearing outer wall is too hard and brittle for this type of application, and have a case wall thickness of approximately 2.5mm.
The only way to reduce the change of bearing speed is by shortening the piston stroke, either in Revetec design or in any other design.

Rotative Wankels, 2-stroke, 2 and 4-stroke diesels, Millers, Revetec and 8-stroke engines are really complex and probably need FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to express their behaviour properly in this simulation.
The torque curve would be the result of the choices engineers have made.
