Often historians who are in the minority, such as feminist historians, or ethnic minority historians, or those who work outside of mainstream academia in smaller and less known universities, or the youngest scholars, who have the most to gain and the least to lose, by shaking up the establishment.
In the friction between the mainstream of accepted beliefs and the new perspectives of historical revisionism, received historical ideas are either changed, or solidified and clarified.
Perhaps one of the greatests works of historical revisionism is Zinn's A People's History of the United States.

One aspect of this revisionism is the thesis that Carnap’s later thought is compatible with that of Kuhn and even that Carnap anticipates some relevant points of Kuhn’s theory of science.
In this paper I argue against revisionist’s interpretation to the fact of publication of Kuhn’s "The Structure o Scientific Revolutions" in the "Encyclopedia of Unified Science", co-edited by Carnap, as evidence of the compatibility between Carnap’s and Kuhn’s respective philosophies of science.
